The film
It is the temple of Impressionism, one of the most renowned museums in the world with nearly 96 million visitors since its inauguration in 1986. The Musée d’Orsay in Paris is also a unique monument that has constantly evolved throughout its 120-year history. It was originally a former railway station with futuristic operations, designed for the Great Universal Exhibition of 1900—an astonishing superstructure containing even more metal than the Eiffel Tower. Abandoned after World War II, the monument was nearly demolished before being reborn in the 1980s. This brought a new, colossal challenge: transforming this derelict station into a major modern museum at the cutting edge of technology.
